Seth Britten is an experienced litigator who has dedicated his career to representing victims and their families who have suffered from catastrophic injuries. An attorney at CS&L since 2015, Seth is barred in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey and regularly practices in federal court.  Seth has successfully handled medical malpractice, wrongful death and other catastrophic injury cases resulting in seven-figure outcomes.

Of note, Seth was lead counsel in a birth injury lawsuit involving untreated neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia, which settled before trial for over $3 million dollars. Seth was also co-counsel in a FELA train accident case that settled for $8 million dollars, and a wrongful death case involving a bicyclist who was fatally injured that resolved for $6.4 million dollars. Recently, Seth, along with CSL attorney Samuel B. Weinstock, secured the largest settlement to date against the City of Philadelphia for a wrongful death case involving prisoner-on-prisoner violence.

Other significant results include a $1.6 million settlement after four days of trial in Philadelphia County, where Seth and Charles S. Cooper represented the family of a woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle that drove into a nail salon.

Seth has been annually recognized as a “Rising Star,” a distinction given only to the top 2.5% of lawyers under forty years old in Pennsylvania.  Seth graduated from Thomas R. Kline School of Law at Drexel University, where he also received his undergraduate degree.
